  1. Coulter Wines C2 Sangiovese 2018

Bright and lifted Sangiovese with notes of lavender, dried cherries, blackberries and sage. A real focus on fruit purity is at play, the palate’s chalky tannins and bombs of crunchy red fruit make it the perfect drop to chill down this summer. Gaby, Wine Culture

  2. Coulter Wines C5 Barbera 2018

Babera’s typical bright fruit aromas of cherry and raspberry are on display here backed up by a mouth-watering savouriness, dried meat and spice. It’s light on its feet, pretty as can be. A pronounced flavour intensity on the palate gives it some guts, powdery tannins and crunchy acidity create a structured, fun-drinking wine.

  3. Domaine Comte De Vogue Bonnes-mares Grand Cru 2015

96 Points, Allen Meadows, www.burghound.com, "This is also very cool and even more reserved at present, revealing only reluctant glimpses of very ripe and ultra spicy red and black berry fruit notes that are very pinot in character. The rich, full and powerful flavors are sweet, supple and utterly classy and the intensity this wine displays is seriously impressive and the superbly long and strikingly precise finish is crystalline in its purity and exactness. There is a rigorous element here that suggests this will require the better part of 15 years to be at its best but when it gets there, this is going to be a thrill ride. Readers know that I am not given to undue hyperbole but I love this style of wine as it's at once pure, understated, graceful and utterly composed." "...I can't say enough good things about how good their '04s have turned out. Indeed if an entire group of wines is considered, then the de Vogüé '04s would be on my very, very short list of candidates for wines of the vintage."

  5. Chateau Lynch Bage 1996

The fleshy, mouth-filling flavours of this wine, from the exceptional 1996 vintage, leads to great finesse on the finish. With its voluptuous cassis fruit it is a blockbuster to enjoy now but will improve with age. Pauillac at its best.

  6. Port Phillip Estate Quartier Pinot Noir 2017

Quartier certainly hasn’t missed out on the 2017 party. Well. We have a beautiful drinking pinot noir here. Beautifully styled, flavoured and priced. It’s herby and spicy but it’s rushed with sweet/tangy/savoury fruit. It’s cut with mouthwatering acidity in a seamless, positive, integrated way. It lingers in a lovely manner. And a gentle smokiness adds to the aftertaste. It is spot on. Buy, drink, be happy. Absolutely recommended..

  8. Vinelea Shiraz 2015

WINERY NOTES. The wine was produced from 100% estate-grown fruit, hand-picked, a blend of wild and cultured yeast for fermentation, basket-pressed and aged for 24 months in 40% new tight-grain French oak barrels, with no fining or filtering. The result is a full-bodied Beechworth shiraz, with saturated purple to blood plum colour, with the aroma of blackberries, stewed plums, smoky bacon and spices. While this vintage is lighter bodied than the 2013 and 2014, it is still no light-weight, this is a serious wine without being too heavy or cloying. The flavours are of black cherries, blackberries and liqourice, in an extremely rich palate with robust mouthfeel and great length. A wine that will age well over the next 5 to 10 years. Under cork (Diam).

  9. Woodlands Cabernet Merlot 2016

Winery Notes."....In the glass the wine displays a vibrant garnet. The nose opens to display bright varietal characters of blackcurrant, combined with subtle lifted aromatics of strawberries and the floral scent of rose. Deeper layers then emerge bringing black tea, aniseed, maple and cocoa. At the heart of the nose lies the beauty of fresh clay, capturing the essence of the earth itself. The palette has the zing of raspberry and some spiciness of black pepper and gentle oak."

  10. Blind Corner Rouge 2017

Winery notes. Some partnerships create a magic that could never be realised alone - bacon and eggs, surf and sunshine, Siegfried and Roy. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is another match that delivers something greater than the sum of its parts. Blend the rich upfront flavour and lingering aftertaste of Cabernet, with the silky soft consistency of Merlot, and you have a Rouge of super delicious deliciousness. This blend has been simply foot-crushed, hand-plunged during wild ferment and basket pressed to old oak for some sleepy time. The Cabernet is from our Quindalup vineyard & Merlot from a sustainable vineyard in Wilyabrup.  Add in a chocolate pudding and you might just get a ménage à trois of taste that you're willing to sacrifice your first born for.
