  3. Chateau Margaux 1990 1500ml

"Absolutely compelling in two tastings of this vintage, the 1990 Margaux is composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. The extraordinary seductiveness, complex aromatics, and purity it exhibits lead me to believe it has reached its window of full maturity. Medium-bodied, with layers of concentration, stunning blue, red, and black fruits intermixed with spring flowers, a subtle dosage of new oak, and a distinctive personality that is elegant while at the same time powerful and substantial, this is a multi-dimensional wine that was extremely approachable and drinkable in both tastings I had of it. The color remains a healthy, even opaque bluish/purple, but there is no reason to hesitate to drink it. It should evolve for another 30-40 years, so there is no hurry either. 99/100"Robert M. 7. Blue Poles Reserve Cab Franc 2016

"Red and blackcurrant, slight prune note, mint, pencils and spice. Medium-bodied, grip and grainy tannin, slightly nippy acidity, attractive perfume of dried herbs on a long insistently tannic finish. Needs a couple of years to settle, I feel, but potential here.Rated : 93+ PointsTasted : Sep18Gary Walsh - The Wine Front"

  8. Petersons Shiraz 2016

WINERY NOTES. Rich, ripe, lifted and alluring nose. This wine shows aromas of stewed blood plums, with hints of smoke, mocha and wafts of black pepper. The palate is full, rounded, soft and elegant. The upfront fruit flavours are of overtly ripe raspberry, boysenberry and blackcurrant. The mid palate is complex with layers of spice including Chinese five spice and hickory. The back palate is long, soft, elegant and dry.

  9. Kilikanoon Oracle Shiraz 2014

Winner of the 2018 Shiraz Trophy - International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), UK Open fermentation with hand pumpovers for 8-9 days. Basket pressed to 50% new French hogsheads for 20 months. Slightly unexpected aromas greet you here, with blackcurrant and truffle more immediately obvious than the typically ripe regional fruit characters which sit behind. Dense rather than brawny on the palate, with a juicy quality and a fresh, tangy feel about the tannin. Oak seems to kick in on the finish. Will be interesting to follow its development. 93 Points James Halliday.

  10. Pittnauer Rose 2016

If you are a fan of the Provene style rose, this Austrian gem is worth a taste.A dusty, savoury Austrian expression of the Blaufränkisch variety has a nutty and marginally confectionery bouquet of red cherries and flowers backed by a hint of cranberry and marzipan. It’s long, smooth and savoury, with juicy, almost sour-edged raspberry and red cherry fruit punctuated by refreshingly bright acids and underscored by a fine, dusty extract.
