  1. Singlefile Clement V Red Blend 2015

Winery Notes: A medium bodied blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mataró, this wine has bright, perfumed aromatics of red fruits and spice with a subtle savoury edge. The palate is plush, with a smoothly textured mouth feel with fine grained chewy tannins. Medium bodied and well suited to complement food.

  3. Rusden Ripper Creek Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Christian's notes: "Lovely bouquet, with rich fruit characters, black berry, plum, some liquorice and herb rub. The palate is seamless with pure fruit characters, spice, vanilla, chocolate and cedary tannin. A great all rounder… approachable now but will easily cellar for 8-10 years"

  4. Woods Crampton Sleeping Dogs Red Blend (preservative Free) 2017

"Hypnotically deep and darkly-coloured core that's fringed by violet hues, indicating you are in for a juicy pastille fruit experience. The nose confirms what the appearance eludes to; chock full of black, Ribena-like fruits that flow onto a sweetly-fruited, full-bodied and viscous palate that is nicely offset by some tart fruits to keep it fresh. Edges of sweet black earth to keep the palate intrigued. Didn't want to stop drinking it last night, but left one glass for my Wine Culture widow. Woke this morning with unusual clear-minded clarity, thanks to no added preservatives. Why couldn't they have pres-free wines this good when I was at Uni?! 17/20; Justyn @ Wine Culture. 1/12/2017.

  5. Juniper Estate Aquitaine Rouge 2014

"58/17/12/10/3 blend of cabernet sauvignon, malbec, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. All into French oak, 40% new. Satiny soft red wine. Oak has its hands all over the fruit. The 2013 release seemed all structural and cellar worthy; this seems more eager to please from the outset. Blackcurrant, resin and bay leaf notes do the baulk of the talking. There’s a lift of violets too. It will cellar for a good long time without question but, so long as you’re oak-tolerant, it has the softness to drink well now."93 Points, Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front.

  6. Massena The Moonlight Run 2016

94 Points, Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front, "Blend of Barossa Valley mataro, grenache, and shiraz, pretty much in equal parts. The mataro included some stalks in the ferment. The grenache is off extremely old vines, well over 100 years (more like 150)." "It’s a wild ride of flavour. It’s mid-weight, complex, charming and silken, with game, an array of dried spices, flings of roasted nuts and of course red/black berry flavours. So much to experience. Floral notes add yet more to the show. A beautiful red wine."

  9. E. Guigal La Mouline Cote Rotie 2006

Slightly more rustic, with high, yet sweet, tannin, the 2006 Cote Rotie la Mouline offers notions of toasted spice, licorice, dried flowers, rendered bacon fat and red currants to go with a full-bodied, nicely textured and concentrated feel on the palate. There’s a lot of tannin here and I’m curious to see how this evolves over the coming decade. Nevertheless, at the very least, it will benefit from short-term cellaring and have a decade of longevity after that. 96/100Jeb Dunnuk, Wine Advocate - August '14

  10. Woodlands Cab Franc Merlot 2016

"Here’s one of the wines I most look forward to tasting each year. If I see it in a bottle shop, I quite often buy a couple to drink when the mood takes me. Always a delicious wine, and no change this vintage. It has the small red berry and leafy perfume of Franc, and the plummy richness of good quality Merlot. Medium bodied, succulent, yet savoury, the pencils, the herbs, the ripe yet streaky tannin, tobacco and earth on a long and satisfying finish. Rarely disappoints. Always a treat. Yes." 93 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
