  1. Castagna Allegro 2017

"Rose produced from syrah and a splash of viognier, raised in barrel and kept on lees during its life pre-bottling. From the family (biodynamic) estate. A solid benchmark in the serious end of the Australian rose scene. Strawberry-scented perfume, whiffs of green herb, faint nougat, suggestion of clove. Pretty stuff to sniff on. Pale garnet-salmon in glass is a pleasing sight, and flavours tend to match bouquet. Glassy texture, delicacy and prettiness, mouth-watering acidity, exceptional length. It feels sophisticated, nuanced and, well, bloody unreal to drink. Stellar wine. 94 Points."Mike Bennie, The Wine Front - Tasted Jan 2019

  3. Luke Lambert Crudo Rose 2017

"Funny thing to say, but when I first tasted this, it reminded me of a blood orange, with a little carrot (earthy) and fresh ginger in the blend: a healthy feel to it, as it were. It’s juicy and fresh, but has restraint, and a fine chalky texture. The acid line is clean and driving, and the finish is particularly long and well-defined, tannin licking playfully. There’s a little campari/orange rind twist in the aftertaste, which is gustatory and encouraging. Outstanding." 95 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.

  5. Bondar Grenache Rose 2018

"Rose water, faint Turkish Delight, ultra perfumed with sweet spice, pomegranate, cranberry. So fine in the palate, bone china delicate, cranberry-tang, a web of ultra lacy yet firm, talc-like tannins. Great extension of flavour, great feel of freshness and vitality. Drink up!" - 93 Points, Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)

  7. Farr Rising Saignee Rose 2018

95 points, James Halliday Australian Wine Companion, “Multiple pinot noir clones, hand-picked, pressed, wild-fermented in used French oak, matured for 10 months. Salmon-pink; has the mouthfeel of pinot noir table wine - it’s more than a rose. Rose petal, cherry blossom and spice aromas lead into a supple, long palate raising the bar on its complex web of spices. The magic lies in the retention of pinot varietal fruit. One of the best roses going around, year in, year out.”

  9. Spinifex Rose 2018

"Barossa rose made with grenache, mataro and cinsault. Pale colour, copper almost into pale orange. As spicy as it is fruity, with earth and dry spice notes running into fresh-cut fennel and redcurrant. It’s juicy, fluid and well-balanced; before you know it you’ve poured yourself a third glass. It’s pretty much the perfect lunch wine." 92 Points, The Wine Front.

  10. Bass Phillip Pinot Rose 2018

"Small portion in barrel, gently pressed fruit, picked for rose. Quite incredible that after the fanciness and higher price points of Bass Phillip’s range, here lies this gem of a bargain of a cheapy of a great quality rose wine. Pale orange-pink colour, almost lurid. Scents of white strawberries, fairy floss, blanched almonds, floral things. Juicy in the palate, very fresh feeling, light red berry flavours, lick of granite-like mineral character and a cool, slightly amaro-tinged finish. Very easy to drink, is the message, but a little more going on than expected." 93 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front.
