  1. Castello Di Monsanto Sangioveto Grosso Toscana 2010

96/100 Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front: "This is a smashing wine. Bees knees kind of stuff. ‘Nobody told me there’d be sangiovese like this’. The spread of tannin. The leather-wrapped cherries. The fennel. The spice. The charm. The presence. Acidity as a dance. The asking price is high, but it’s worth it. Little more need be said."

  5. Coulter Wines C4 Tempranillo 2018

Chris sources fruit from the trophy winning Ricca Terra vineyard in Loxton, Riverland. Dark fruits are packed in tight, a forest fruit melody lifted up by clove spice, herbal tones of sage with dustings of spice. Fleshy on the palate with powdery tannins and berry-like acidity carry the fruit to the end and leave it to linger on.

  6. Coulter Wines C2 Sangiovese 2018

Bright and lifted Sangiovese with notes of lavender, dried cherries, blackberries and sage. A real focus on fruit purity is at play, the palate’s chalky tannins and bombs of crunchy red fruit make it the perfect drop to chill down this summer. Gaby, Wine Culture

  7. Coulter Wines C5 Barbera 2018

Babera’s typical bright fruit aromas of cherry and raspberry are on display here backed up by a mouth-watering savouriness, dried meat and spice. It’s light on its feet, pretty as can be. A pronounced flavour intensity on the palate gives it some guts, powdery tannins and crunchy acidity create a structured, fun-drinking wine.

  8. Ravensworth Estate Sangiovese 2016

"From the home farm of Bryan Martin. Spends eight weeks on skins, then 22 months in large format oak. If you could peg Bryan Martin down for his metier, it’s pretty easy to suggest that the halo varieties of Canberra District of riesling and shiraz are in the crosshairs, but the wild card would be sangiovese, I feel. Few in the country hold a candle to his comfort and class with the variety. Great colour, was the first comment out of my mouth. Pale garnet with bronze edge. Lovely. Very savoury perfume hit with cherry juice and pomegranate. Shows clove and white pepper. Palate has this transparent wash of sour cherry fruit and a sheath of very fine, firm, chewy tannins. Ethereal but tightly wound. Very lovely feel here, a very good wine indeed. 94+ Points"Tasted May 2018Mike Bennie - The Wine Front

  10. First Ridge Sangiovese 2015

Winemakers notes. Sangiovese is well suited to our climate and soils, especially when grown on the rocky ridges at 550 meters. This Sangiovese exhibits rich fruit with bright cherry and raspberry notes, and hints of vanilla and spice, which pair perfectly with its subtle, yet savoury tannin structure.
