  1. Domaine Fevre Chablis 2017

Fèvre families have been working at the heart of Chablis vineyards since 1745 Winery Notes: Our CHABLIS come from parcels situated beside the village of FONTENAY-Près-CHABLIS, at the very heart of Chablis’ vineyards. On high plains or steep hills, all our Chablis grow on stony soils (Kimmeridgien Limestone) which allow a moderate production. Most of our vineyards are between 15 and 25 years old. Some parcels were planted by Gilles’ great grandfather, Marcel, around 1950/1960. Our Chablis are fresh and fruity (white flesh fruits, like peach and pear, with citrus notes), and already showing good minerality. Pleasant with an aperitif, they make a good marriage with oysters, shell fish and grilled fish, but also with traditional Burgundy recipes such as “jambom persillé” (ham with parsley).

  2. Meadowbank Riesling 2018

94 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front. Nervy thing, but with a little sweetness to ease the kissing of the mirror. I’m thinking ripe lime and green apple, bread dough, and a little smoke and spice. It’s chalky and texture, kind of savoury, but a little sweet, the sour green apple and green mango, with an almost earthy and savoury finish, ending with a grip and spice. Lots going on here. Very good.

  3. Meadowbank Chardonnay 2017

This is just Pete Dredge's second Meadowbank Chardonnay. From 20-year-old estate vines rooted in Derwent Valley's loose sand and sandstone overlying dark brown, coffee rock, rich in iron oxides and organic matter. It's what our gumbooted wine grower friends might call "quality dirt". The 2017 was handpicked and whole cluster pressed directly to eight French barriques (one new). The wine underwent partial malo and spent the following nine months in barrel, on lees. Bottled without fining or filtration, the new vintage is focused and chiselled, tangy and pithy with layers of citrus and crunchy stone fruits. The personality is driven by mouth-watering, punchy, cold climate acidity, while the superb winemaking brings out a layered seduction.

  4. Kt Bianca Vermentino 2017

93 POINTS, JAMES HALLIDAY. Now this is what vermentino is all about - a variation on citrus with a fragrance of lemon blossom, kaffir lime leaves, lemon drops, mandarin peel with some lemon curd and its saline-thirst-quenching quality and fresh natural acidity to close. There's a lick of sweetness rounding out the palate and it has texture thanks to the hand-picked fruit undergoing a wild ferment, then left on lees for 10 months in seasoned oak and in tank.

  5. Grenaudiere Muscadet Sur Lie 2017

Zesty citrussy notes with some floral edges and taut minerality make this a "spot on" wine to have with seafood. There is added texture from its time on lees (sur lie) that just adds a touch of mid-palate breadth which is what makes these wines so drinkable.Importer's Notes: This estate 30Ha estate has been in the hands of the Ollivier family for over 200 years. The current proprietors, brothers Guy and Jean-Luc have been blessed with some extremely old vines on classic sites. This combined with careful viticulture and Vinification helps the boys produce fantastic wines at amazingly reasonable prices.

  9. Meerea Park The Aunts Shiraz 2017

"Lochleven vineyard, planted 1973. Red fruits and rosy perfume, a kiss of vanilla and toasty oak, quiet earthiness. Medium-bodied, red fruits and boysenberry, clean acidity, light toasty oak, soft sandy tannin, and a red fruited finish of good length. Good form here. Very enjoyable."  92 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
