  1. Domaine Pierre Luneau-papin La Grange Vv Muscadet 2014

Zesty citrussy notes with some floral edges and taut minerality make this a "spot on" wine to have with seafood. There is added texture from its time on lees (sur lie) that just adds a touch of mid-palate breadth which is what makes these wines so drinkable.

  3. Shaw & Smith Wines M3 Chardonnay 2016

"Light to mid-yellow colour with savoury nutty, straw and toast aromas. A trace of malt. The wine is delicate, light to medium-bodied and not especially concentrated, but has attractive flavour and style, finishing clean and dry with a pleasingly savoury aftertaste. Cleansing acidity keeps the finish fresh."4/5 StarsHuon Hook - The Real ReviewTasted May 2018

  5. Vinden Estate Chardonnay 2017

"This is 100% barrel fermented chardonnay, a pretty old school-good school take on the variety. Vinden Estate stands alongside the edgier ‘The Vinden Headcase’ range. Sees about 50% malolactic ferment too. Big, bold chardonnay with everything in neat balance. Shows chewy oak notes, lemon curd on ripe stone fruit with buttery toast in the mix. Generous perfume, mellow-soft texture, ample and lush to taste but with freshness to lift and a mouthwatering finish. Generous white here with an 1980s-meets-2010s vibe. Really well done. Give it some time and it will be ‘the butter chardy’ you love." 92 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front.

  6. Nick Spencer Gruner Veltliner 2018

"A good grape is Grüner Veltliner. I often think of it as being a halfway house on the path from Riesling to Chardonnay.  Or in the words of The Proclaimers “I’m on my way from misery to happiness today.” Ah-hah. It has that signature radish and white pepper top note over apple and peach, some spicy biscuit and hazelnut. Light bodied, plenty of spice and a twist of pink grapefruit keeping it fresh and cool, fine acidity and a subtle dusty/white pepper texture, apple drizzled with lemon on the finish, which is fairly long, leaving spice and cool acidity in its wake. It’s subtle, some might think a little dilute, but I think transparent and clear. Needs another year in bottle to start showing its best side, I reckon. Good Grüner." 93+ Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.

Aged and ready for your enjoyment now this Peter Lehmann Margaret Semillon 2003 should impress; top pedigree and given the "Rolls-Royce" treatment, (previous vintage scored 96 from Halliday and Trophy at Sydney International).

  9. Vinden Estate Single Barrel Chardonnay 2017

92/100 Mike Bennie – Wine Front. Vinden Estate’s 2017 Chardonnay is sourced from the Summerville Vineyard in Broke and underwent 100% barrel fermentation in French oak. During the 10 month elevate, bâtonnage was conducted monthly to build complexity, weight and texture. A deliciouswine with white peach and vanillin overtones, complemented with a beautiful creamy finish. Great drinking any time over the next 5 years.

  10. Pierro Chardonnay 2017

95+ Points, Gary Walsh, Wine Front, "It’s pretty young. It’s best days are before it. In-between days, we do our best to call it. Pie apple and pear, cinnamon oatmeal, lime, white flowers and vanilla. Medium bodied, silky delivery of Chardonnay flavour, so fine yet rich, gentle dusting of peppery tannin, discreet but firm acidity, that vanilla oatmeal creaminess, and then a finish that tightens up with a mix of apple and mixed citrus. The length is outstanding. Wonderful wine."
