  1. Pazo Cilleiro Albarino 2017

This is a full-flavoured yet fresh Albarino. The vintage produced highly aromatic and concentrated fruit that shows beautifully through the wine. The palate displays a rich medley of lifted lemon citrus, white stone fruit and white flowers. This is a mouth-filling wine driven long by the clip of bracing acidity delivering a super fresh finish. This will match wonderfully with fresh or barbecued seafood, garden salads and almost anything else.

  4. Ravensworth The Grainery Blend 2017

It’s a blend of white grapes but knowing what they are isn’t really the point (it’s a Rhone-ish white blend for those that insist!). More the point it’s a textural, interesting, refreshing expression of Murrumbateman that looks most unlike just about anything the region has done before. Then again, that last statement is alot of what winemaker/grower Bryan Martin is about. Delicious thing this is. So easy to drink but so easy to sit back and survey too. A melange of apricot, nuts, green melon, citrus and florals in the bouquet, the palate offers a light glossiness then layers of similar flavours with a steely rod of acidity keeping the wine lively and refreshing. It glides across the palate yet feels perky and minerally; booze on ice skates with a twist of something more serious. Take it to your local Thai to step it up a notch. 93 Points, The Wine Front.

  5. Pieropan Soave 2017

Winery Notes: "Brilliant straw yellow colour with greenish hints;the delicate nose is reminiscent of almond blossoms and marzipan; gooddepth of fruit on the palate, nicely balanced by a zingy acidity thatenhances its long length. It makes an excellent partner for soups, starters, especially vegetable basedsuch as asparagus, peas, courgette, egg-based dishes or seafood and freshwater fish dishes. It is an excellent aperitif, especially when served with simplecanapés. Serve at 12°C."

  7. Hoddles Creek Pinot Gris 2018

94 Points. The Wine Front, Gary Walsh. One week on skins and 90% whole bunch ferment. I’m told this wine is on allocation now. Amazing.I love seeing a Gris/Grigio with plenty of colour and this one is distinctly coppery. Brown pears, musk and spice, but kind of subdued, and more ‘winey’ than simply ‘fruity’. Light to medium bodied, fine acidity and lightness in the mouth, with an almost ‘airy’ feel, though not so many faeries. Gentle drag of tannin, almost a rosehip perfume, and a subtle earthiness to close, as the tannin tugs softly on a long finish. It’s a wine of fragrance, delicacy and complexity, yet has a quiet strength about it too. So very good. The cooler year has wrought a finer wine in 2017 than 2016, which is no better or worse, simply different.

  9. Unico Zelo Jade & Jasper Fiano 2018

Winery Notes: A labour of love and passion, originally hailing from Campagnia, Fiano is a variety of incredibly ancient heritage. A true pleasure to craft. One of the most complex noses of any white variety. Full of white peach blossoms, honeydew and lemon, all covered in a generous splash of Grannysmith Apple. This continues onto an electric palate, lifted by a rich fruit-sweetness, and sparked to life with a crispy acidity. A pleasure to drink at any time of the day. Method: 24 hours skin contact, wild ferment, matured in stainless steel

  10. Ls Merchants Vermentino 2018

If you like Chablis, Muscadet and crisp whites this one is for you. Lemon juice, sea spray and a slight floral character too. On the palate a touch more fruit but that crushed oyster shell and freshly sliced lemon really comes out to play along with a grippy texture. This wine, all summer long!
