  1. Ravensworth Riesling Ancestoral Petillant Naturel 2018

MIKE BENNIW, WINEFRONT, - "It’s alive, it’s moving, it’s alive, it’s alive, it’s alive, it’s alive, IT’S ALIVE! – Frankenstein (1931).Yep, this gushed a tad. Bryan Martin’s riesling of Canberra, method ancestral (petillant naturel – pet nat). Live wine, creating fizz through the finish of ferment in bottle. Magic. I reckon due to winemaking style, there will be better bottles out there, each bottling will be individual, considering the way this is made. Not that this wine isn’t great, but there will be some better. A caveat. It’s cloudy, hay-coloured in glass. Perfume is farmhouse cider meets quince meets preserved lemon meets golden delicious apple. Lovely, in its way. The palate is foamy yet crisp. It’s an eccentric cousin of riesling but wildly drinkable and delicious. Lemon/lime and bitter apple flavours, chalky finish, in a great way. It’s not as profound as 2015, nor as finely tuned or complex, but it’s bloody brilliant drinking, fun, frisky, flighty, pretty and down right cool. Yummy."

  2. Flaxman Riesling 2017 Magnum

Fresh, zingy and so crunchy and aromatic...this will age for a long time, especially in the Magnum format; a great option for celebrating a child's birth year on their 18th or 21st.

  3. Pewsey Vale The Contours Riesling 2012

"Still pale straw-green; five years young, and just starting to build the “lime marmalade on buttered toast” flavours of full maturity that will come another five, perhaps 10, years down the track." 95 pointsTasted December 2017James Halliday - The Australian

  4. Pewsey Vale 1961 Block Riesling 2017

"This wine looked stellar on first try, but watch it soar on day two – a portent for the future. Pretty perfume of frangipani and green leaves, fragrant ginger and lemongrass, citrus, pith and juice, grapefruit sorbet. Such a lovely start. Beautiful texture and softeness of mineral-draped acidity. Slate, wet pebble, then the tang of citrus, touch of tonic water, pop of green herbs, maybe even eucalyptus in there. Character filled, softness and mineral charm in spades. Superb." 95+ pointsTasted March 2018Mike Bennie - The Wine Front

  6. Cherry Tree Hill Riesling 2016

"An exotic style of riesling: intensely perfumed with lemon, mandarin and floral bouquet scents. It’s just off-dry, the sweetness lifting the ripely fruity flavours which are balanced by a subtle twist of bitter grapefruit peel. Delicious! (Screwcap) Score: 95/100" - Huon Hooke, April 2017

  7. Massena Stonegarden Riesling 2017

Stonegarden riesling from a stone-riddled vineyard. Planted 1940s. A delightful wine. Textural, laden with flavour, long through the finish and delicious every step of the way. It packs a real flavour punch but it steps lightly; it feels soft. Sweet lime, talc, rose petals, orange blossoms. Quite an exotic thing, it is. It will age but it’s a ripper drink right now. 94 points- The Wine Front

  8. Fritz's Riesling 2016

Importer's Notes: Fritz's Riesling grows in a very small and special part of Rheinhessen called the Roter Hang, a name meaning “red hill“ due to its red slate soils. The Roter Hang is located between the village of Nackenheim and the village of Nierstein, 20 kilometres south of the city of Mainz. The red colour comes from a high proportion of minerals and iron in the soil. In addition the vineyards are very close to the river Rhine, they face south-east and they have steep slopes. The combination of those four factors - the red slate soil, the proximity to the river, the exposure to the sun and the steepness of the vineyards - are perfect for producing a wine that speaks of this very special winegrowing area. All these factors work to produce wonderful ripeness that result in lovely stone fruit characters of peach and apricot. The cool climate works to retain acidity which lends freshness and the red soils give the wine a spice and aromatic lift. Dry, fresh and full of character.

  10. Pegasus Bay Riesling 2015

The abundant aromas and flavours suggest white fleshed peaches, nectarines and citrus flowers and fruits, especially those of oranges, mandarins and limes. There are supporting hints jasmine and lychees. It is concentrated and mouth filling but yet elegant and poised with a core of tangy minerality and acidity that balance its off-dry finish and help draw out the lingering aftertaste.
