  1. Luke Lambert Chardonnay 2018

"Subdued fruit, into lemon rind, citrus, green apple, aniseed, with nutty saline character. It’s savoury, a little kombucha or yoghourt sourness, intense acidity, fine chalk dust texture, and a long perfumed/sour-edged finish. It’s engaging and very good, though likely to polarise.94 PointsTasted : Feb19"Gary Walsh - The Wine Front

  2. Luke Lambert Crudo Shiraz 2017

We love cool-climate Shiraz because of the elegance, blue fruit spectrum, (again from cool climate grapegrowing), and spiciness they exhibit. Luke Lambert has done it again. This one is a winner.

  3. Hentley Farm Beast Shiraz 2014

97/100 James Halliday - “The road to intensity is littered with blackberries. This is where wine meets bitumen meets fruit meets oak. It's colossal in its breadth, depth and reach. It's like some prehistoric creature; it will take an awful lot for its magnificence to ever be dimmed; it will live on for as long as you want it to.” Winery Notes: Black olives, liquorice stick and blackberry play the leading role on the nose and are supported by toasty almonds and spicy vanillin. Traditional Beast tannins line the front of the palate before a more subtle mid palate loaded with black fruits and forest berries. At the back dark fruits continue and combine with dark chocolate and vanillin, a finish that seems to never end!

  4. Bk Wines Waning Crescent Syrah 2016

Make no bones about it, this is excitingly good. It explodes on the palate with a rush of fruit then there's an exciting interplay of dired herbs, fresh fermenty savoury backbone and great length.Named for the moon on the day of harvest from a highly-prized biodynamic vineyard, the fruit was in peak condition, full of ripe flavours and enjoyed a languorous fermentation. Blood red in the glass. Traditional Rhône characteristics of mulberry and oyster shell with a white-pepper tang. Toothy tannins round out this classic, Old World Syrah. It wants very much to find itself next to roast duck.

  5. Domaine Simha Simla Field Blend Red 2016

You'll not have tried the likes of this beauty before: A blend of pinot noir, cabernet franc, gamay, chardonnay, riesling. "Don't be deterred by the cloudy appearance and brick-red hues that could indicate a wine with stability issues, this wine has a bouquet of rosewater, tangy orange skin, plus floral and dusty, sweet earthy notes. The palate is a medium-bodied, stimulating experience of recalibrating pleasure of savoury drive and hidden fruits; all so tangy, salty and ultimately delicious. 18.5/20 Wine Culture."

  10. Coppiere Montepulciano D'abruzzo 2016

There is a brightness to this wine. Lifted dark cherries, earthy sweetness, spices and leathery, minerally characters that flow onto the palate perfectly. This is exactly what Montepulciano d'Abruzzo should taste like but at this price this wine is a fantastic effort.
