  1. Ampeleia Unlitro 2017

Made by the Queen of Teroldego, Elisabetta Foradori. Her organic Tuscan vineyard in Maremma is planted with non-traditional grape varieties such as Grenache and Carignano. This cuvee is all about freshness and fruit purity. No oak is used, the wine spends 6 months in stainless steel tanks to preserve it’s bright fruit characters. An easy-going wine that is rounded and rather light, plush red fruits with caressing tannin and a subtle spicy close, extremely moreish, it’s a good thing this wine comes in the larger litre format.

  2. Antinori Pian Dell Vigne Rosso Di Montalcino 2013

A clear and brilliant ruby red in color, the wine shows aromas of ripe red fruit, plums, and quince jam, the characteristic floral notes of Sangiovese, and toasty and spicy sensations from ithe aging in oak. The palate is highly pleasurable, supple and with silky tannins. Its freshness and crispness are heightened by a savory, mineral aftertaste, which further reinvigorate the ripe fruit first felt on the nose.

  3. Campo Al Noce Miterre Bolgheri 2014

Aroma : intense, full and elegant with hints of rasberry and wood fruits. Winey when young it developts spicey overtones with ageing. Flavour : full bodied, sapid and generous. Well structured with a pleasent persistence. Wine making : fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature (28°/30°C) with a long maceration period (15/20 days) and the alternation of the wine to mantain a damp must in fermentation. This is done to enchance the extraction of natural colouring and noble tannin. Aging: 12 months in french oak barriques.

  4. Stefano Amerighi Syrah 2011

Beautifully bright and elegant. This vintage has some darker notes and being from a warmer year it is more concentrated than previous efforts but it's excellent nontheless. Think Cornas rather than Saint Joseph.

  6. Castello Di Monsanto Sangioveto Grosso Toscana 2010

96/100 Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front: "This is a smashing wine. Bees knees kind of stuff. ‘Nobody told me there’d be sangiovese like this’. The spread of tannin. The leather-wrapped cherries. The fennel. The spice. The charm. The presence. Acidity as a dance. The asking price is high, but it’s worth it. Little more need be said."

  7. Casanova Di Neri Tenuta Nuova Brunello Di Montalcino 2011

95/100 Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate - "This is another fabulous wine from Giacomo Neri. The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is a deeply layered expression with bold tones of dark fruit that are softened and enhanced by spice, leather, tobacco and balsam herb. The wine is very beautiful and polished with slightly less depth and complexity compared the outstanding (100 point) vintage that precedes it. Despite the vintage variation, this is a wine of enormous pedigree and importance. It is generous and confident with a presentation that offers purity, intensity and persistence. "
