  1. Tin Lids Shiraz Cabernet 2017

Winery notes. We love this new Hobbs wine made together with Sean, Bridget and Jessica Hobbs, our 'kids', or Tin Lids as they were often called. Their youthful influence on this traditional Aussie blend has resulted in a vibrant wine with the fresh herbal flavours of Cabernet merging seamlessly with the rich dark red and blackberry flavours of Shiraz. On the nose, you’ll find licorice and blackberry essence, spicy notes of pepper and sage with a hint of freshly picked mint, meaty and savoury aromas and subtle notes of cedar. The palate is full-bodied with dark red and blackberry flavours and the lovely herbaceous characteristics of Cabernet Sauvignon The wine has a fresh acidity, very fine grain tannins and a long perfumed finish. 50% Shiraz 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Shiraz is matured for 24 months in second use French oak Hogsheads and the Cabernet matured in new French oak for 24months. Bottled unfiltered.

  2. Terre A Terre Crayeres Vineyard Caberent Sauvignon 2016

Terre à Terre, a French expression meaning Down to Earth, is a small family business run by husband and wife team Xavier Bizot and Lucy Croser. They mostly source fruit from their vineyard located next to Tapanappa’s Whalebone Vineyard, at the top of a north-south limestone ridge in Wrattonbully, one of Australia’s most exciting regions."86% cabernet sauvignon, 9% cabernet franc, 5% shiraz matured for 18 months in French oak, 48% new. The oak regime was similar as per the shiraz but cabernet has stared it down. Here's a wine you can invest in with confidence. Deep-set blackcurrant, fresh boysenberry, tobacco, gum leaves and smoky/cedary oak. It's ripped with tannin, flush with fruit, and immaculate from all angles."95 Points, Campbell Mattinson, Wine Annual.

  3. Chateau De Cerons Graves Rouge 2016

"The 2017 de Cérons has a perfumed, floral, almost Margaux-like bouquet with fine definition. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red and black fruit laced with pencil lead and blackpepper, nicely balanced on the finish with plenty of freshness. This Graves has produced a decent2017 that should give several years of drinking pleasure." 88-90/100 Points, Neal Martin.

  4. Place Of Changing Winds Tradition Pinot Shiraz 2018

"This is a highly anticipated release getting us ever closer to wines from the Place Of Changing Winds. POCW is the deeply-invested (organic, close-planted) vineyard of Rob Walters (author, journalist, importer, distributor) supported with knowledge and help by luminaries of international wine, including local hero Michael Dhillon (Bindi – he found the site for Walters) and others of significance like Olivier Lamy, the immensely important viticulturist and inspiration touchstone. Minutiae in viticulture has been emphatically described. Relative patience too. There have been wines under this label that have absorbed the Graillot Australia project, but I believe this is an independent wine, and an excursion towards releases that are entirely reflective of the single site. Here ya go. Packaging is excellent. A beauty. Silken texture that turns to succulence and a firm pucker. Wildly aromatic with a chorus of brambles, autumnal dried leaves, cherry, game meat, light eucalyptus and white pepper. It sings in the palate, that texture is just superb and there’s immense concentration and detail in the layers of flavour despite the wine maintaining a relative light weight. It carries long and beautifully, fine through its lightly fanning and puckering finish. I wanted to go back to this wine a lot. It has charm and interest, architecture and drinkability in synch. L’chaim!"95 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front.

  9. Nick Spencer Light Dry Red 2019

"It’s light. It’s bright. It’s nutty and full of sour cherry and dried cranberries. There’s a bit of gum leaf too, but it just adds a layer on a fragrant and vibrant wine. Tannin is grainy and lightly chalky, with fresh raspberry acidity, and a lively raw almond finish closes it off. Fun to drink. Tasty. Should build with a little bottle age. Like this very much. Its aim is true." 92+ PointsGary Walsh - The Wine Front
