  1. Schild Lorraine Late Harvest Semillon 2013

"Bright straw, pale gold in colour with notes of fresh citrus, orange marmalade and a delicate white flower perfume. A full, round front palate derived from the retention of natural grape sugars and the presence of some nectarine, white peach and floral notes provides a hint of lushness. This is followed by glimpses of subtle oak spice and a clean acid finish which proves some freshness and line to the wine and ensures it retains an element of refreshingness to counter balance the sweetness."Winery Notes

  2. Rusden Driftsand Red Blend 2019

Winery Note:"The great ‘All-rounder’… spicy, savoury, generous fruit. On the nose there’s loads of rich fruit characters and the gentle spice gives the wine a savoury edge. The palate is medium-bodied with sour cherry, apricot & some dark berry fruit. Ultra slurpable, a classic GSM style fit for any table. Lovely finish with gentle tannin and good length."

  5. Head Wines Grenache Rose 2018

This is the best Rose Alex Head has made so far. Bright, fresh, rose petals, strawberry fruits, raspberry, sinewy mouth-feel, taut and Provencal-like. The finish is light and dry with terrific textural charm. Gluggidy, glug, glug.

  7. Head Wines Montepulciano 2018

"A new wine here, replacing the old Nouveau which contained Touriga and other things. Alex Head suggests that Monte is a great grape for the Barossa Valley – the honey badger of grape varieties. Raised in old foudre. Very purple, hazelnut, touch of meat and spice, boysenberry, blueberry. Medium-bodied, dry dusty firm tannin, savoury but with a core of jubey fruit. Some of the grapes character, but tastes regional too. Good drinking here, though I feel it will be better again with a little more time to settle into bottle." 91 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.

  8. Spinifex Rose 2020

"The two maestros of Barossa Rosato are Mark Bulman and Pete Schell. Maybe they should make one together one year? Imagine! This is Mataro, Grenache and Cinsault. Blush colour. Soft and powdery with a redcurrant and tangerine sort of flavour, plus a slight earthiness, spice and floral things. It’s glossy and fine at once, just the right amount of flavour, and a gentle herb laced finish of fine length and grip. Delightful. "94 Points, Gary Walsh - The Wine Front.

  9. Head Wines Head Red Gsm

"Pretty, a little new leather and spice, raspberry and boysenberry. Medium-bodied, tannin is really good – soft but present – with even acidity, and a subtle savoury / earthy component adding further complexity. Delightful. Good now, but won’t fall over for quite some time."94 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.

  10. Schild Estate Sparkling Shiraz 2017

"Big in spice, woody and clovey, with lashings of dark fruit, choc-berry characters and a hint of malt. The palate is creamy but set apart with its crunchy fizz and almost tactile, twiggy, clove spice notes. It’s a bit short in flavour, but what’s there I kind of wanted to drink more of. And more. The other key feature is it’s not overly sweet, which is nice too. I liked the vibe here. Refreshing, medium weight sparkling red of high spiciness."Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
