Notes
"This one is, as per geography, beefier and bolder than the 2021 Flaxman expression, but holds its own for finesse alongside. From a Hoffman family grown site, old vines planted 1951.
Dark berry and salted plum scents, some clove, some sweet floral lift, a bit of game meat, a sniff of mint. Lush and deep aromas. Plush in the palate, slurpy and round, soft and fleshy but cinches on a swish of graphite-laced tannins and finishes with a saline minerality in tow. A generous red but with freshness, detail, a lick of savouriness, herbal nuance. It’s quite something – sumptuous and come hither by nature. Lusher style, nailed."
