Notes
In the glass, Borgogno No Name presents itself with a grainy red color and intense aromas of vanilla, spices, and wilted roses. The palate is full and powerful, with ripe tannins and a pleasant sweetness that beautifully balances the wine's robust character. Nuances of black fruit, cocoa, and a hint of tobacco complete the taste experience. The finish is long and inviting, perfect with dishes such as red meat, game, and rich pasta dishes.
The Borgogno No Name may not have a rebellious character, but it is certainly exceptionally tasty.
As wine critic Harold Hamersma also wrote in De Grote Hamersma (2016), in which he rated the Borgogno No Name with an 8.5: “A wonderfully powerful and idiosyncratic Nebbiolo with ripe tannins and a relaxed sweetness. But that shouldn't have a name.
