Shiraz certainly enjoyed the 2022 conditions at By Farr. Grown on vines that have just (in 2024) turned 30-year-old. I’m often asked who makes the best shiraz in Australia. I always include By Farr in my answer. This 2022 release continues an incredible run of quality shiraz from this estate. The pepper spice and mezcal notes here are clear, as is the pure, sound, silken deliciousness of the fruit, though ultimately it’s the length of the palate that really distinguishes it. This wine is sweet, savoury, nutty and more, the Campari-like herb notes of the aftertaste a beautiful way to exit. Rated : 95+ Points
