Notes
"The ‘Gloria’ vineyard is 1Ha on an east facing slope of mixed MV6 and 115 clones picked on the 1st and 2nd of March 2021. The grapes were chilled overnight and then transferred to a 2500L tronconique oak vat and a 2000L jarrah vat as 20% destemmed fruit and 80% whole bunches. About 15% of the grapes were direct pressed and the juice poured over the ferments. There were gentle pump-overs twice daily during maceration which took place over 2 weeks. The elevage was for 11 months on full lees in fibre glass. Bottling took place on February 5th with only 2600 bottles produced.
The wine is bright, acid driven and red fruited, it has a lighter frame than a classic red pinot from the rose addition during ferment, but still has tannin complexity and structure in the finish." Winery Notes
