This wine is produced by Emily Laughton, winemaker at Jasper Hill winery in the Heathcote wine region. There are spice and floral aromas over meaty charcuterie, creamy/toasty barrel-age hints, the palate intense and rich, yet also refined, with piercing flavour and a long carry. A tickle of sweetness then a cleansing, refreshing dryness to close. A superb wine that does more with this grape than most. (Screwcap) Score: 94 ????
