"This is an excursion for G.D.Vajra into the hills of Dogliani. It’s sourced from three vineyards and sees stainless steel only. Fair to say that I love this. It’s simple and comforting but there’s complexity if you go looking. Fine graphite, dried herb, mineral and sweet-sour cherry flavours come flecked with dirt, dust, something. There’s a ripple to this, a dryness, a slow dawning of the tight. In an ideal world this wine, or one like it, would be available on every wine list in the land.
