Notes
The old faithful Gin Gin clone raised in puncheons and barriques, 35% new. I've written a Campbell style introduction, and maybe I should have left the wine to him too.Brisk, chalky and vigorous wine featuring a little cap gun smokiness, lemon rind, white peach, oatmeal and cinnamon. It's bright and tight, lovely flinty grip and zesty lime rind tang, cool ‘mineral' acidity, pink grapefruit and grilled nuts, green pear, and a long tangy and smoke tinged finish. Flinty flinty, and fresh. All about texture and a rip cord of acidity. Kind of imperious, over friendly, and water-coloured too, though that's no bad thing. 94 Points, Gary Walsh- The Wine Front.
