New mid-level Nebbiolo from Traviarti. I’m still saddened by the demise of Traviarti Tempranillo but the Nebbiolo the estate produces is even better, so all is well.
Two words: fresh, and tannic. This is just the ticket. Dried leaves and herbs, more savoury than fruity, but with macerated cherry, cream and spice notes riding in behind. Clove notes too. It’s beautifully dry, has good length, feels fresh but also feels serious. Give this baby some air, it needs it. Better On Night Two, despite its fresh accessibility. This is pretty damn impressive. Buy/stock this if you get the chance.
