VEUVE CLICQUOT BRUT YELLOW LABEL: Very complex, intense aromas. Fresh fruited but showing honey, marzipan, brioche of autolysis. Layered and moussey in the palate, but bright, fresh, fine acidity. Light, brisk and squeaky. Finishes pretty short but has a decided delicacy. Feels drier and crunchier than recent forays into this wine, the gentle tweak of dosage showing its hand? I guess. Lovely to drink, effortless, though feels a little bony and thin. Still, this is shiny and good. Score: 92 points Mike Bennie. winefront.com.au
