Notes
"Hand-picked fruit from a dry-grown estate vineyard (planted 1998), whole-bunch pressed, wild ferment in barrel. A blend of Gingin and Dijon clones, bâtonnage, no mlf. Matured for 10 months in French oak (38% new). Despite the firm presence of oak, the fruit is elegant and pretty. It persists in the mouth, and is supremely classy, although the oak needs time to dissipate into the fruit. The acidity is a highlight; juicy and entrenched. Gorgeous."
