"Slightly more garnet this year, but with its distinctive glowing purple rim. On first pouring, smells exactly like that dusted pink extra, though liquorice, red frogs, black cherries in syrup also in the mix. As it takes on some air more savoury nuances show; dusty, black currant jols, that lipstick-y thing you sometimes see in good grenache. The palate's massively blue fruited. Shows just a lick of fine, raspberry seed tannin & a much fleshier, jucier mid palate than the '21. Its bright, gorgeous acid keeping everything in check, eschewing the estery ebullience the nose flirts with.  Pretty long and not at all simple. Super juicy, super moreish.
